"Golden Corral has been a traditional friend of America's disabled veterans. We're amazed at how they continually reach out and find ways to support our organization and our cause. Their kindness and generosity on our behalf is overwhelming," said Wilson.

The day before the Golden Corral 500, the DAV received additional support during the Busch Series Nicorette 300. "I was impressed with all of the people with Aaron and the folks from Curb Agajanian. If you're not familiar with NASCAR, it's difficult to grasp the visibility they provided the organization," Commander Jackson said. "Hundreds of thousands of fans were there to see our logo as the race car went screaming around that track, and millions at home were reminded of the sacrifices of America's veterans every time the car made the loop."

Commander Jackson also had a moment to chat with NEXTEL series driver Kenny Wallace, whose autograph cards feature the DAV logo and a message about the organization. "Kenny was great, as usual. I gave him one of my DAV 'Action Jackson' hats and he wore it during an interview on national television," said the Commander. "Throughout the nation, people who might not have been aware of our organization and veterans who might need our services are being introduced to the DAV thanks to Mr. Wallace."

"The more we are around NASCAR, the more opportunities we find to spread our message to a massive audience of patriotic Americans. This isn't the last time you'll hear about DAV being involved in NASCAR. If anything, this might just be the start of bigger and better things," said Wilson.
