PENNINGTON, N.J. -- Direct Group, a full-service provider of high-volume direct marketing services, announced today the promotion of Pat O'Brien to Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing. In this role, O'Brien is responsible for sales for the full company, across all services and products. In addition, Executive Vice President Chris Ryan's role has been expanded to include oversight of Service, Quality, Sales and Marketing.

A 14-year direct marketing industry veteran, O'Brien joined Direct Group in 2005 as Vice President, Sales & Business Development. From 1996 to 2005, O'Brien worked for Atlantic Envelope Company, becoming Vice President, Business Development in 2002. While at Atlantic, O'Brien received numerous company sales awards, including "Top Sales Producer" for four years running.

Chris Ryan ( a pseudonym), MM was born in Rowlands Gill, Gateshead, 1961. He joined the regular SAS in 1984 after seven years in the territorial SAS and he was later one of the members of the disastrous "Bravo Two
 to build and extend our overarching focus on client success and satisfaction."

McKenzie said Ryan's role is critical because it brings together four key parts of the business under one highly skilled individual who will ensure that all customers' projects are optimally managed from start to finish.

In addition to O'Brien, June Busch also will report to Ryan in her current role as Executive Vice President, Business Development. She will now play a greater role in overseeing the transition of new clients into the Direct Group organization, ensuring resources are matched to client requirements and that all elements of the customer experience are positive.
