Dino debate: predator or scavenger? (Chart Reading/Critical Thinking).


Scientists agree: Tyrannosaurus Tyrannosaurus (tīrăn'ōsôr`əs, tĭr–) [Gr.,=tyrant lizard], member of a family, Tyrannosauridae, of bipedal carnivorous saurischian dinosaurs characterized by having strong hind limbs, a muscular tail, and short  rex was a meat-eater, or carnivore carnivore (kär`nəvôr'), term commonly applied to any animal whose diet consists wholly or largely of animal matter. In animal systematics it refers to members of the mammalian order Carnivora (see Chordata). . But they hotly debate how T. rex T. rex, T. Rex or T-Rex may refer to:
  • Tyrannosaurus rex, a large carnivorous dinosaur

  • Thoristella rex, a species of Thoristella
