This expansion meets the upsurge in demand for Dimension X products and services, and augments Dimension X's position as the leader in the Java and VRML development market.

Dimension X, well-versed in the frantic pace of Internet-related development, fulfills its need to expand the development team by purchasing this respected software company, Anyware Fast, Inc. Anyware Fast, of San Jose, has an extensive background in graphics tool development, specializing in 2D and 3D graphics applications.

The Anyware Fast teams varied experience ranges from 3D model creation to Java development and virtual reality applications, its work encompassing projects from applications to device drivers. Anyware Fasts reputation within the industry and its intimate knowledge of 3D technology made its purchase an opportunity Dimension X could not ignore.

Two years later, in 1989, they moved to Silicon Valley and formed Anyware Fast. In the summer of 1994 Chet Haase left the XGL graphics group at Sun to become a partner in Anyware Fast.
