Dillard's Inc. Reports Monthly Sales Results.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 6, 1997--Dillard's Inc. (NYSE:DDS) announced that sales for the month ended Nov. 1, 1997, increased to $463,387,000 compared to last October's sales of $431,229,000.

This is an increase of 7% overall. The comparable stores increase for the month was 4%.

For the three months ended Nov. 1, 1997, sales were $1,592,118,000 compared to $1,496,578,000 last year, an increase of 6%. The comparable stores increase for the period was 3%.

During the nine months ended Nov. 1, 1997, sales were $4,560,615,000 compared to $4,290,206,000 last year. This is an increase of 6%. The comparable stores increase for the period was 2%.

The company currently operates 268 stores in 27 states featuring branded and private label goods in the upper-middle price range and catering to a broad spectrum of the population.
