Dignity Memorial(R) Network Provides Free Resources for the Grieving.
Several well-known international authors contributed to the series, including Alan Wolfelt, Ph.D., a practicing grief counselor and educator, and Charles A. Corr, Ph.D., professor emeritus at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Dr. Wolfelt serves as the director of the Center for Loss and Life Transition, while Dr. Corr is the former chair of the International Work Group on Death, Dying, and Bereavement.
The pamphlets were designed to give the bereaved insight into their feelings and hope for the future. As Dr. Wolfelt writes in When Someone You Love has Died, "As scary as this may sound, you will never 'get over' your grief. Instead, you will learn to live with it. This does not mean that you will never be happy again ... you too will heal and find continued meaning in living and loving."
The grief-management series was developed by the Dignity Memorial network for free distribution to North American communities. Titles in the series include:
At Your Time of Loss When Someone You Love has Died When Your Parent has Died When Your Child has Died When Your Spouse has Died After a Sudden Death When Someone You Love is Dying When You are a Professional Caregiver Helping Children Cope with Grief Helping a Friend Cope with Grief Coping with Holidays and Anniversaries Grief in the Workplace
