However, he added that "the certifications remove a step in the process by reducing modem-testing and registration requirements, allowing OEMs to bring their wireless products to market faster in these countries."

Compared to the WIT2400, the WIT2410 offers seamless roaming capabilities and a doubled air data rate of 460kbps. Designed for use in small and highly portable wireless devices, it is also about half the size of the WIT2400, with dimensions measuring less than a business card and a thickness of just 9mm. 3.3 voltage and low power consumption support battery-powering.

Like the WIT2400, the WIT2410 offers 100mW transmit power and up to three times the range of most wireless LAN A local area network that transmits over the air typically in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz unlicensed frequency band. It does not require line of sight between sender and receiver. Wireless base stations (access points) are wired to an Ethernet network and transmit a radio frequency over an area  products.

Both the WIT2400 and WIT2410 can be used in a range of industrial and commercial applications, including remote monitoring and control systems and portable data terminals for warehousing/inventory management, point-of-sale and order entry.

Digital Wireless spread spectrum products offer point-to-point or point-to-multipoint communications. They are known for their reliability and immunity to jamming and multipath fading common to wireless communications.
