Batch Encoder, the only automated solution for converting traditional media files, such as AVI (Audio Video Interleaved) A Windows multimedia video format from Microsoft. It interleaves standard waveform audio and digital video frames (bitmaps) to provide reduced animation at 15 fps at 160x120x8 resolution. Audio is 11,025Hz, 8-bit samples. , WAV or MOV (1) (Metal Oxide Varistor) A discrete electronic component that is commonly used to divert excessive current to the ground and/or neutral lines. Acting like a pressure relief value, an MOV is comprised of zinc oxide with small quantities of bismuth, cobalt, , into RealSystem G2 Surestream and Microsoft's NetShow 3.0 streaming formats.

"New streaming formats are giving developers a broader range of options for creating Web applications. Developers need complete solutions to easily take advantage of authoring features across multiple platforms Refers to two or more operating environments, which typically include the CPU family and operating system. For example, if versions of a program run on Windows and the Macintosh, the software is said to support multiple platforms. ," said Rob Martell, director of product development for Digital Renaissance. "The T.A.G. Production Suite provides developers with the most comprehensive, easy-to-use software set for creating compelling, interactive applications using the latest streaming media formats."

The T.A.G. Editor 2.0 -- for RealSystem G2 (WIN) and the T.A.G. Editor 2.0 -- for RealSystem G2 (MAC) allow developers to add time-synchronized and frame-targeted content, such as URLflips, hotspots, captions, marquees, telepromters, scrolling news, ticker tapes, and customized commands to Web applications. These interactive features, when combined with RealSystem G2 functionality for Windows or Macintosh, make the T.A.G. Editor 2.0 the most comprehensive tools for creating RealText, RealPix, RealVideo, RealAudio, and SMIL.

The T.A.G. SMIL Editor aids in the production of interactive Web content. In addition to traditional, text-based editing and visual content editing features, the T.A.G. SMIL Editor incorporates a new set of authoring features that check syntax and allow developers to preview previously generated content created by an earlier version of the T.A.G. Editor, or other authoring environment.

The T.A.G. Batch Encoder allows developers to automatically batch convert non-streaming files, such as AVI, WAV or MOV files, to RealSystem G2 Surestream or NetShow 3.0 streaming files. This first-of-its-kind automated encoding environment eliminates the need for an attendant, saving developers valuable time and resources when doing batch encoding.

Availability

The T.A.G. Production Suite beta program is available now through Digital Renaissance. Prices will be released following Fall Internet World. The final version of the T.A.G. Production Suite will ship in November of 1998.
