About the DE Management Server

The DE Management Server is designed to easily integrate into existing IT environments to manage and secure Web services, ensuring that business critical processes and messages are managed over a reliable and secure infrastructure. The DE Management Server 2.1 is composed of four key components: the DE Management Server Console, where users can manage and configure Web services in the network; the Policy Manager to define security policies and secure Web services; the Alert Manager to manage alerts and performance management corresponding to system and Service Level Agreement (SLA (1) (StereoLithography Apparatus) See 3D printing.

(2) (Service Level Agreement) A contract between the provider and the user that specifies the level of service expected during its term.
) failure events; and the Registry Manager to publish and search for Web services in the enterprise.

Through the DE Management Server Console, administrators can configure DE Management Points(TM) as XML/SOAP message intermediaries, agents or gateways. The DE Management Points offer a "pluggable" pipeline solution, where tasks such as security enforcement, alerting, versioning and transformation, caching, content routing and transport bridging can take place.

Additionally, in a Web services environment, where open standards Specifications for hardware and software that are developed by a standards organization or a consortium involved in supporting a standard. Available to the public for developing compliant products, open standards imply "open systems;" that an existing component in a system can be replaced  inherently increase security risks, the Policy Manager in the DE Management Server 2.1 provides SAML-compliant authentication, authorization and auditing. The Policy Manager also manages contracts that can provision services based upon identity, permissible access times, and total number of invocations. In addition, the architecture provides comprehensive support for XML Encryption XML Encryption is a specification that defines how to encrypt the content of an XML element.
