.) Digital Courier International Corporation ("Digital Courier") announced today that it has filed an Amended and Restated Preliminary Prospectus Preliminary Prospectus

A first draft registration statement filed by a firm prior to proceeding with an initial public offering of securities. The document, filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission, is intended to provide pertinent information to prospective shareholders
 with Canadian securities regulatory authorities in connection with the common share offering announed in June, 1996.

Under the amended offering, only treasury shares of Digital Courier are being offered. The number of shares to be issued and the issue price has not yet been determined. The offering, which is being underwritten by CIBC Wood Gundy CIBC Wood Gundy was created in 1988 with the purchase of Wood Gundy Inc. by CIBC. CIBC Wood Gundy is a division of CIBC World Markets.
