Digital Cinema Veteran Frank Stirling Joins Panorama Labs.


Former Boeing Executive to Direct Projector Development and Commercialization

NEW YORK -- Panorama Labs, the company pioneering magneto-photonic crystal technology, announced today that Frank Stirling has been named president of its Digital Cinema strategic business unit. Effective immediately, Stirling is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, including overseeing development of a digital cinema projector for theatrical exhibition. He will be based in Los Angeles.

Stirling brings impressive digital cinema experience to Panorama Labs. Most notably, he was executive director of Boeing Digital Cinema, an enterprise started in 2000, where he deployed 31 operational theater screens across the United States and in London. Immediately prior to joining Panorama Labs, Stirling was founder and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of Stirling Media, a company dedicated to support the conversion of theatrical exhibition to digital technology.

Earlier, Stirling was responsible for engineering, technical operations and business development for government and private industry clients while an assistant vice president at SAIC SAIC - http://saic.com. ; he also directed the development of a new business for an aeronautical navigation and communication service at Hughes Space and Communications Company, and he specialized in strategic planning and program/product development services for the aerospace industry as president of a Washington D.C. consulting firm.

Stirling's technical career began in the United States Air Force United States Air Force (USAF)

Major component of the U.S. military organization, with primary responsibility for air warfare, air defense, and military space research. It also provides air services in coordination with the other military branches. U.S.
