Digital Arts Develops Filtering Software Capable of Setting Levels According to User Age.

Tokyo, Japan, Sept 15, 2005 - (JCNN JCNN Japan Corporate News Network ) - Tokyo-based web content filtering software developer Digital Arts has developed i-FILTERING for Netcafe (cybercafe The first Internet cafe in the U.S. Founded in 1995 in New York, the menu is a selection of fine coffees and desserts along with Internet, e-mail, printing, scanning and faxing services. Hats, shirts and jackets are also available for purchase. ), a filtering application for deployment at cybercafes where anyone can access the Internet.

When a user registers for admission to a cafe, the software automatically installs web filtering functions on the PC assigned according to his/her age. The product makes it unnecessary to zone stores or PCs by age in advance, allowing for effective use of the facilities.

Two versions are available: POS (1) See point of sale and packet over SONET.

(2) "Parent over shoulder." See digispeak.

POS - point of sale
(Point of Sale) and general use versions. The latter allows the owners of cybercafes with no membership system to admit users. Both are open-priced.

Digital Arts will launch sales in late September.
