The merger was approved overwhelmingly on March 18, 2002 by Medical Advisory Systems shareholders and the transaction closed on March 27, 2002.

The combined company will be called Digital Angel Corporation and will continue to trade on the American Stock Exchange American Stock Exchange (AMEX)
