The 47-year-old TV cook says that is why she will never try to lose weight.
Nigella said: "Women who spend all their lives on a diet probably have miserable sex lives.
"If your body is an enemy, how can you relax and take pleasure?
"In my experience the weight thing is almost a completely female problem.
"I never feel bad about my weight around men, only women.
"Women act as if it's somehow a moral failing to have hips."
Nigella also revealed she associates being skinny with the death from cancer of her mother - beautiful socialite Vanessa Salmon.
She said: "My mother had real eating issues.
"And when she got cancer she said it was the first time she could eat without worrying. I found that chilling."
