D.A. Stuart Co. has introduced Dasco Cast 1130, a water-based diecasting lubricant Lubricant

A gas, liquid, or solid used to prevent contact of parts in relative motion, and thereby reduce friction and wear. In many machines, cooling by the lubricant is equally important.
 designed for both conventional and high-integrity casting (semi-solid, thixotropic, rheo and squeeze casting) of magnesium magnesium (măgnē`zēəm, –zhəm), metallic chemical element; symbol Mg; at. no. 12; at. wt. 24.305; m.p. about 648.8°C;; b.p. about 1,090°C;; sp. gr. 1.738 at 20°C;; valence +2. , zinc and aluminum. The lube is based on a blend of additives that are designed to provide blister-free castings with minimal residues. It also is specifically designed to minimize buildup build·up also build-up
