. Beginning May 14, the cost of mailing a letter will increase to 41 cents. But you can avoid future price increases by buying the new Forever stamp. The stamp, which shows the Liberty Bell and the word Forever, sells for 41 cents. However, if the cost of mailing a letter ever goes up--and it is sure to--the Forever stamp still can be used without paying extra postage POSTAGE. The money charged by law for carrying letters, packets and documents by mail. By act of congress of March 3, 1851, Minot's Statute at Large, U. S. 587, it is enacted as follows:
