CTI Group (Holdings) Inc. (OTC:CTIG) today announced that its UK subsidiary CTI Data Solutions Limited has successfully integrated its proprietary call search and logging facility with Dictaphone Corporation's new Freedom(TM) recording system.

Dictaphone is a leader in the development, manufacture, marketing, service and support of Integrated Voice and Data Management systems.

Dictaphone Corporation's Freedom(TM) is already winning tributes from industry observers. C@ll Center Solutions magazine has named it a winner of its 1999 Product of the Year Award, and CTI Magazine has awarded the new open-architecture system CTI Magazine Product of the Year honours.

These industry accolades come on the heels of Dictaphone's announcement that it had received more than $7.5 million in orders for the Freedom(TM) system during the first five months following the product launch in October 1999.

In call centers alone, millions of people interact with Dictaphone products, which record and store some five million hours of telephone conversations daily. And for public safety agencies, Dictaphone has become the standard, with over 40% of police, fire, and 9-1-1 centers in the U.S. using its recording systems.

The new Freedom(TM) recording system, designed for small to medium-sized commercial contact centers and trading applications, is based on a unique design that lets organizations store and access their voice information whenever, wherever and however they want. The Proteus call logging engine is being developed as an integral part of the Freedom(TM) package.

The Freedom(TM) system will use Proteus to collect detailed call information from their PBX and enable users to quickly locate individual recorded calls by looking for specific call information, such as CLI (Caller Line Identification), dialled digits, call duration and ringtime etc.

Based on Dictaphone's current sales levels, and conservatively estimating that 30% of the Freedom(TM) customers will choose to add the search facility option, the potential license fees to CTIG could well exceed a run rate of $4 million per annum in the first twelve months of operations with revenues being generated starting in our third fiscal quarter."

Using standard file access methods like SMB, NFS, and FTP, Freedom allows users to easily take advantage of any existing or anticipated future storage device. The Freedom system consists of three separate components: telecom module, recording module, and archive/playback station. The telecom module interfaces directly to a contact center's phone system for direct digital recording, eliminating the cost of handset couplers and external digital-to-analog conversion devices.

Freedom's modular design means the archive/playback station and recorder can be kept nearby in a supervisor's office, while the telecom module is rack- or wall-mounted in the PBX room, eliminating wiring headaches.
