offerings from Dictaphone

Dictaphone Corporation today announced that the Communications Recording Systems (CRS)(TM) group has launched a suite of enhanced technologies that will bring additional recording solutions to its Freedom(R) recording system, allowing customers to expand the functionality of their core voice recording system.

Aimed at all customers who record voice conversations, such as public safety agencies, financial markets, and contact centers, the newest solutions announced by Dictaphone will make it possible to add the following technologies to the Freedom(R) voice recording platform:

-- Freedom Vision is a digital video surveillance recorder that allows users to record, manage, and view up to 32 cameras on one system. Remote access by multiple users is available for system configuration, as well as for viewing live and historic video. The system records up to 30 frames per second per camera, to a system maximum of 240 fps. Individual recording schedules can be defined for each camera. In addition to video recording, Freedom Vision can support audio recording on up to 8 channels, depending on the system configuration.

-- Freedom Navigator incorporates the latest high-speed audio search technology to quickly locate key words or phrases from calls that have been recorded on Dictaphone's Freedom(R) recording platform. The phonetic audio search technology employed by Freedom Navigator does not require speech-to-text conversion and can search up to 20 hours of audio in less than one second, or 72,000 times faster than real time. Contact centers of all types will find this powerful application useful in locating key recordings instantly, thereby helping them conduct business more effectively.

-- Freedom Authentication provides a state-of-the-art method to ensure that a voice file recorded on a Freedom(R) recording system is in its originally recorded state and has not been altered through electronic or other means. Any call that has been encrypted, or "signed," will provide verification that it has not been altered in any way. Through Freedom Authentication, approximately 1,500 calls can be signed per minute. A proprietary, stand-alone player can be loaded onto a desktop or laptop to allow an authenticated call to be played back from a CD, DVD, or diskette at any location.

-- Freedom Capture Pro offers a non-CTI solution for transferring data fields from a third-party application into call records on the Freedom(R) recording system. Data fields, such as "Incident #," "Account #," or "Agent ID," can be captured from applications such as CRM programs, CAD screens, or other desktop applications used by the agent or dispatcher. Freedom Capture Pro also has the ability to provide automatic, selective recording that can be triggered when an agent or dispatcher accesses a specific field or screen on their desktop.

-- Freedom Explorer is a software application that allows secure Internet or Intranet access to calls recorded on a Freedom(R) voice recording system. The Freedom(R) voice recording system architecture allows calls to be stored on any network storage device. Freedom Explorer allows users to search, view, and listen to recordings from multiple recorders any time, any place, from any PC, via a web browser.

-- Freedom VoIP Recorder provides reliable real-time recording, storage, and retrieval of pure Internet Protocol (IP) telephony sessions. Through Dictaphone's alliance with Spescom DataVoice, a partner in the Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video, and Integrated Data) program, the Freedom VoIP recorder is fully integrated with the Cisco CallManager at a CTI level, providing seamless, reliable recording of marked extensions and groups. Data fields are captured from the Cisco switch and stored with the voice recordings, providing enhanced search criteria for faster, more efficient call retrieval.

-- Freedom Quality Guard offers a web-based, stand-alone quality assurance tool for measuring agent or dispatcher performance and improving the quality of customer service. With Freedom Quality Guard, calls recorded on any recording system can be used for evaluation purposes. Included in the application is a Forms Builder for customizing evaluation templates. Completed evaluations are summarized through standard reports, providing managers with statistical data that can be used in training and quality assurance programs.
