Dianne Buckner to share business insights at NOBA awards.


Through years of experience with CBC's flagship business program, Venture, Dianne Buckner Dianne Buckner is a Canadian television journalist, best known as a host of business-oriented programming, such as Venture and Dragon's Den, on CBC Television.  has searched out businesses ranging from Canadian conglomerates to small and fledgling enterprises and in doing so sought to educate, animate and intrigue audiences.

Having observed hundreds of small companies start up in Canada, Buckner has learned significant lessons about what will help and hinder prospective business owners. In her presentation, she will incorporate cultural and attitudinal differences between different companies, and highlight the value of persistence, partnership building, dedication and creativity.

A question and answer period will follow her presentation. The conference will also feature a roundtable of excellence, which will include four dynamic northern leaders who will share the courage of their convictions.
