Diamond geezers.

EASTENDERS Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri BBC1 With its sense of tradition in the Pearly Kings and Queens and a very strong connection to royalty by having the Queen Vic pub on the corner, you'd think they'd make more of an effort to honour the monarch in Walford.

For many of the residents have spent time at Her Majesty's Pleasure and Victoria was the only other Queen to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee back in 1897. Just ask Cora and Rose, as they were probably in the crowds... Perhaps that's why they regard Jean's efforts to dress up the Vic as pathetic and take over themselves on Tuesday, with the help of Patrick and Zainab. And a good job they do, too.

Diamond geezers after all...
