Diamond Technology Partners to Standardize On Jabber Internal Instant Messaging Communications Platform.

Jabber An open standard for instant messaging (IM). There are tens of thousands of Jabber servers on the Internet, most of which are privately run within a company or college campus. There are also hundreds of public Jabber servers that any user can register with, Google Talk being the largest. .com, Inc., a subsidiary of Webb Interactive Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: WEBB), today announced that Diamond Technology Partners (Nasdaq: DTPI) will standardize on the Jabber instant messaging Exchanging text messages in real time between two or more people logged into a particular instant messaging (IM) service. Instant messaging is more interactive than e-mail because messages are sent immediately, whereas e-mail messages can be queued up in a mail server for seconds or  platform.

As part of the agreement, Diamond will become an early adopter of Jabber.com's enterprise server, and will look to fully deploy the Jabber platform in the future to enable integrated instant messaging (IM) among its employees worldwide as the foundation for all future corporate-wide instant messaging solutions.
