In the 1994 Vision Awards poll conducted for Computer Reseller News, thousands of resellers were asked to determine which products provided the best combination of design, support and reliability. Diamond's Stealth and Viper product lines dominated the video/graphics board category for the second year in a row. The Stealth product was named by 29 percent of resellers as the industry's best. The Viper product followed in second place with 20 percent of the reseller vote. Resellers cited quality and reliability as the main reasons they preferred Diamond products.

Computer Currents

The readers of Computer Currents cast their ballots in the first annual Reader's Choice Awards. The categories included 1994's best software and hardware products as chosen by the magazine's readers. In the best video board category, the Stealth 64 topped the list with 26 percent of the reader's vote and the Viper followed with 10 percent.

BYTE Magazine

The editors of BYTE Magazine conducted a comprehensive review of hardware and unveiled the winners of the "BYTE Best" awards in the February 1995 issue. Awards were granted for several categories including the best PCI (1) (Payment Card Industry) See PCI DSS.

The Stealth 64 Video, Stealth64 Video 3200 and Stealth Video multimedia accelerators provide great graphics and video performance. Retail versions of the Stealth 64 Video and Stealth Video include Diamond InControl Tools, CorelDRAW(TM)4, Asymetrix 3D/FX(TM) and Asymetrix Digital Video Producer(TM). The Stealth 64 Video has an estimated retail price of $399 for the 2MB VRAM version and $569 for 4MB. The Stealth Video has an estimated retail price of $199 for the 1MB DRAM version and $259 for 2MB. The Stealth64 Video 3200, with 2MB of VRAM, has an estimated retail price of $299. The retail version of the Stealth 64 DRAM graphics accelerator, including Diamond InControl Tools and CorelDRAW(TM)3, has an estimated retail price of $169 for the 1MB version and $229 for the 2MB version.
