Diamond Multimedia now ships Mac Suprasonic 336V+ and SupraExpress 336 Sp modem with enhanced voicemail features.

VANCOUVER, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 1997--

- Diamond Multimedia's Supra VoiceMail 2.3 Software Delivers

Improved VoiceMail Features For Macintosh Users -

Diamond Multimedia Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: DIMD), a leader in the Internet multimedia market, today announced that its high performance SupraSonic(TM) 336V+ and SupraExpress 336e Sp Macintosh modems have newly-enhanced voice mail features, offering customized preferences to meet each customer's voice messaging needs.

Diamond Multimedia's new Supra VoiceMail(TM) software, version 2.3, provides users with a variety of new, easy-to-use benefits including: Fax-on-Demand, Voice/Pager Notification, Mailbox Password Protection, and Caller ID Support. Supra VoiceMail software, built exclusively for Macintosh operating systems by Diamond Multimedia, is included free with the SupraSonic 336V+ and SupraExpress 336e Sp modems.

"Supra VoiceMail helps users to avoid missing messages," said James Cutburth, vice president of marketing for Diamond Multimedia's communications division. "Macintosh owners particularly like the fact that it can support incoming fax messages as well as multiple voice mailboxes, allowing everyone in a household to have his own message center. It is a useful application that we believe Macintosh users will rapidly find indispensable."

By running in background mode, Supra VoiceMail ensures that calls are answered and recorded even if the user is working in another application. The messages include a date/time stamp, length of message, phone number for Caller ID, and a memo field. Mailboxes can be set-up for distinct pager numbers so users will instantly be paged with Caller ID identification on the messages. Individual set-up of different mailboxes allows more than one person to take advantage of this notification feature.

Additional features included with Diamond Multimedia's Supra VoiceMail 2.3 software are:

-- Multiple Mailboxes (up to 10)

-- RapidPhone(TM) Speakerphone Dialer

-- Toll Saver Remote Message Retrieval

-- Distinction Between Voice and Fax Calls

-- Record from Headset/Microphone and Telephone Handset

-- Drag and Drop Phonebook Entries to RapidPhone

Speakerphone Dialer (speakerphone application)

-- Drag and Drop Messages From Mailbox to Mailbox

-- Resizeable columns

-- Manual Fax Send and Receive

-- Fast Forward of Messages

-- Single-Call and Two-Call Fax-On-Demand

Current SupraSonic 336V+ and SupraExpress 336e Sp Macintosh customers can download the new voice mail software free of charge directly from Diamond Multimedia's Web site (http://www.diamondmm.com).
