For the year, revenues were $598.1 million, up 28 percent from $467.6 million in 1995. Net income was $16.3 million, or $0.46 per share, on 35.2 million shares outstanding in 1996, compared to a loss of $41.3 million, or ($1.55) per share, on 26.7 million shares outstanding in 1995. Net income for 1995 included a $76.7 million one-time in process technology write-off related to the acquisitions of Supra A relational DBMS from Cincom Systems, Inc., Cincinnati, OH (www.cincom.com) that runs on IBM mainframes and VAXs. For the fourth quarter, revenues were $166.5 million, down 12 percent from $190.1 million in the fourth quarter of 1995, but up 35 percent from the September 1996 quarter. Net income for the quarter was $7.8 million, or $0.22 per share. In the fourth quarter of 1995, the Company reported a net loss of $24.9 million, or ($0.78) per share, which included a $38 million one-time in process technology write-off related to the acquisition of SPEA Software AG.
