Under terms of the agreement, Diamond Multimedia will bundle VDOPhone(TM), VideoLive(TM) Player and Personal Server with all of its retail communications and multimedia products. The first two products to include the VDOnet bundle are the SupraExpress 33.6 faxmodem and Stealth 3D 2000 multimedia accelerator, both of which will begin shipping this month. Diamond is the first multimedia subsystem company to bundle VDOnet's Internet video products with its end-user offerings.

"VDOnet's full-featured video conferencing and Internet broadcasting Internet Broadcasting (formerly Internet Broadcasting Systems), or IBS, is a provider of television station web sites. IBS hosts over 70 local stations' sites, and co-produced NBCOlympics.  software enables customers that already own a Diamond Multimedia graphics board and modem to receive and view high quality, smooth video. When combined with a video capture card See video capture board.  and camera, users can both send and receive full-color motion video over an analog phone line and over the Internet. VDOnet has integrated DirectDraw support into their software to work seamlessly with Diamond's multimedia accelerator products."

The VDOnet software suite is also ideally suited for Diamond Multimedia's new line of Supra A relational DBMS from Cincom Systems, Inc., Cincinnati, OH (www.cincom.com) that runs on IBM mainframes and VAXs. It includes a query language and a program that automates the database design process.  33.6Kbps faxmodems which are compliant with the new ITU (International Telecommunication Union, Geneva, Switzerland, www.itu.ch) A telecommunications standards body that is under the auspices of the United Nations.
