In the October 21, 1997 issue of the magazine, the SupraExpress 56i Sp is noted as a product that "combines excellent K56flex performance and videoconferencing capability with a large, well conceived software bundle."

PC Magazine's review of 56K modems included 19 products from companies such as 3Com Corporation/U.S. Robotics Inc., Hayes Microcomputer Products Hayes Microcomputer Products was a U.S.-based manufacturer of modems. They are particularly well known for their Smartmodem, which introduced the ability to control the modem through commands sent in the data stream itself.  Inc., and Motorola Information Systems Group.
