In a separate announcement issued today by Dialogic, Dialogic also announced that TSAPI (Telephony Services API) A telephony programming interface from Novell and AT&T. Based on the international CSTA standard, TSAPI is designed to interface a telephone PBX with a NetWare server to provide interoperability between PCs and telephone equipment.  interface capabilities would be added to CT-Connect during the first quarter of 1996. The addition of TSAPI will make CT-Connect the only CTI gateway which supports both TAPI (Telephony API) A programming interface from Microsoft and Intel that is part of Microsoft's WOSA architecture. This agreement is a further demonstration that distribution channel dynamics are being shaped by the convergence of the communications and computer industries. Ingram Micro, and Norstan Integration Services announced earlier this year, now both offer CT-Connect to their customers. In recognition of this industry trend, Dialogic offers CT-Connect and CTI-related professional services (job) professional services - A department of a supplier providing consultancy and programming manpower for the supplier's products.  primarily through its channel partners and does not market directly to end-users.

CT-Connect was developed by Dialogic's CT Division, an organization internationally recognized for its experience with CTI technology and applications. The group was established in February 1995 and has quickly established itself as a leading vendor of CTI gateway software and related professional services. In the brief time since its introduction in the summer of 1995, CT-Connect has already been chosen for mission-critical call center applications in North America and Europe, interconnected with a wide range of telephone systems.

In combination, Dialogic and Ingram represent a unique breadth and depth of experience with system integrators and independent software developers in computer-telephone applications design and technical services.

Geno Alissi, general manager of Dialogic's CT Division, commented, "Developers and systems integrators throughout the world are putting together mission-critical computer telephony solutions for their clients. Increasingly, they are sourcing the necessary components through traditional microcomputer channels. Partners like Ingram Micro will make access to CT-Connect easy and efficient."

This joint announcement, which places CT-Connect into wide channel distribution, follows the recent Dialogic announcement of their VAR program. This program is structured to attract network oriented VARs who are seeking to take advantage of the $6 billion computer-telephony market. The Dialogic VAR program supports resellers through extensive educational programs, sales assistance and promotional campaigns.

Marty Culbert, senior manager of product evaluation for Ingram Micro's Technical Products Division said of the agreement: "Our partnership with Dialogic continues to reinforce our commitment to our resellers, VARs and interconnects to make available the software and hardware that allows them to develop and support their customers' more complex application requirements, like computer telephone integration. Dialogic's CT-Connect is a well tested interface software for the CTI solution reseller and integrator."

Ingram Micro, Inc. is the world's largest wholesale distributor of broadline computer products. For three consecutive years, resellers have chosen Ingram Micro as the preferred distributor in Computer Reseller News, a leading industry trade publication. The company employs over 6,500 associates who sell, market, support and distribute 34,000 products in 120 countries.
