Diabetic's driving 'killed boy'.


A DIABETIC plumber drove erratically before careering off a road in Birmingham and fatally injuring a four year old boy.

 was aware he was suffering from dangerously low blood sugar levels, but took the risk by continuing to drive before the fatal accident, it has been alleged.

Clarke, 51, of Larch larch, any tree of the genus Larix, conifers of the family Pinaceae (pine family), which are unusual in that they are not evergreen. The various species are widely distributed in the Northern Hemisphere.  Walk, Yardley, denies causing the death of Cory Chesielski by dangerous driving.

He said Clarke had been a diabetic for about 20 years and, at the time, almost certainly his blood sugar levels were almost certainly low.

He said Clarke drove erratically for three and a half kilometres as he headed home, witnesses describing him looking "paranoid and fidgety fidg·et·y

He said one witness described Clarke trying to reach into the front passenger side foot well, where police later found a monitor for his blood sugar levels.

He said Clarke eventually swerved across Cartland Road, in Stirchley, mounted the kerb and struck Cory as well as his brother, who only suffered relatively minor injuries.
