Around 150 people visited the roadshow in the Marion car park in Dolgellau, held over two days from last Monday. A further 150 visited the roadshow in Y Maes car park in Pwllheli on Wednesday and Thursday. Other risk factors for developing the condition include being aged over 40, being of black or South Asian origin and having a close family history of the condition. More than 4,300 people have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in Gwynedd and another 850 people may have the condition but do not know it.
