Diab Data Inc. announces highly optimizing ColdFire Compiler Suites.(NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange :MOT) High Performance Embedded Systems Embedded systems Computer systems that cannot be programmed by the user because they are preprogrammed for a specific task and are buried within the equipment they serve. Division and Diab Data Inc. Tuesday announced the immediate availability of Diab Data's Compiler Suites for embedded ColdFire applications. Diab Data's highly optimizing Compiler A programming language compiler that enhances the performance and/or reduces the size of the resulting machine program. Optimizing compilers require multiple passes in order to analyze the entire program and maximize the reuse of code throughout. See compiler. Suites are available from both Motorola and Diab Data in multiple versions supporting a broad range of host, target and language combinations. Diab Data's ColdFire C, C++ and Fortran Compiler Noun 1. The new ColdFire Compiler Suites are integrated with a variety of development environments, including Software Development Systems' SingleStep and Wind River Systems' VxWorks. ``Our early commitment to Motorola's ColdFire Family enabled Diab Data to be a leader in the market for ColdFire compiler suites,'' said J.C. Sarner, vice president of sales and marketing at Diab Data. ``We are excited about the opportunity to support the ColdFire Family and its emerging applications, and to partner with Motorola in providing advanced compiler technology with the Motorola ColdFire Starter Kit,'' Sarner added. ``Once again Diab Data has shown its leadership in the compiler market by being the first to announce available support for our ColdFire Family,'' said Jim Reinhart, manager of marketing and systems engineering for the Motorola High Performance Embedded Systems Division. The new Compiler Suites include a compiler, a program profiler, an assembler, a linker and an archiver, as well as ANSI (American National Standards Institute, New York, www.ansi.org) A membership organization founded in 1918 that coordinates the development of U.S. voluntary national standards in both the private and public sectors.
