DiaSys Establishes Medical Advisory Board.WATERBURY, Conn. -- DiaSys Corporation (AMEX AMEX See: American Stock Exchange : DYX DYX Dyslexia ) a global diagnostics products company, announced today that it has established a Medical Advisory Board. Board members include John Chen, Ph.D., Lynne S. Garcia, Anthony H. Moody and G. Berry Schumann, M.D. Each of these accomplished advisory board members will assist the company's research and development projects to expand its product lines. Dr. Chen is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BioCheck, an in vitro diagnostic company. Prior to founding BioCheck in 1997, he was the co-founder of Rapid Diagnostics, Inc., an in vitro point-of-care diagnostic company. Previously, he was co-founder of Medix Biotech, an in vitro diagnostic company. The company was acquired by Genzyme Corporation in 1992. Subsequent to the acquisition, he was Genzyme's Vice President of Research and Development. Prior to founding Medix, Dr. Chen co-founded Pacific Biotech, which was acquired by Eli Lilly, where he was instrumental in developing the first rapid pregnancy test. Dr. Chen holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Tunghai University in Taiwan and a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Edmonton.
