DiaSys Establishes Medical Advisory Board.

WATERBURY, Conn. -- DiaSys Corporation (AMEX: DYX) a global diagnostics products company, announced today that it has established a Medical Advisory Board. Board members include John Chen, Ph.D., Lynne S. Garcia, Anthony H. Moody and G. Berry Schumann, M.D. Each of these accomplished advisory board members will assist the company's research and development projects to expand its product lines. "We are delighted to have such experienced medical professionals assist us during our next phase of growth," said Morris Silverman, Chairman of DiaSys Corporation. "We look forward to building upon their skills and extensive relationships in the diagnostics area to enhance our growth."

Dr. Chen is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BioCheck, an in vitro diagnostic company. Prior to founding BioCheck in 1997, he was the co-founder of Rapid Diagnostics, Inc., an in vitro point-of-care diagnostic company. Previously, he was co-founder of Medix Biotech, an in vitro diagnostic company. The company was acquired by Genzyme Corporation in 1992. Subsequent to the acquisition, he was Genzyme's Vice President of Research and Development. Prior to founding Medix, Dr. Chen co-founded Pacific Biotech, which was acquired by Eli Lilly, where he was instrumental in developing the first rapid pregnancy test. Dr. Chen holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Tunghai University in Taiwan and a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Edmonton.

Ms. Garcia is currently a Director of LSG & Associates, a provider of diagnostic medical parasitology and health care administration, which provides consulting, teaching and training services. Formerly, she was a Manager, Clinical Microbiology and Special Manual Chemistry at the UCLA Medical Center and the Santa Monica Hospital Clinical Laboratory. She has been published extensively on diagnostic subjects, and was elected as a Fellow of The American Academy of Microbiology in 1991. She was awarded the Microbiologist of the Year by the ASMT. She received her MS in Health Care Administration from the University of La Verne.

Mr. Moody retired this year as the Head Biomedical Scientist and Laboratory Manager in the Department of Clinical Parasitology at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, a position he has held since 1993. He was the Senior Chief MLSO in Parasitology at the same hospital for twenty years previously. He has written and lectured extensively on diagnostic subjects with 66 papers published. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences and a Chartered Biologist as a Member of the Institute of Biology. Mr. Moody received a Master's Degree in Philosophy from the University of London, and a Diploma from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Dr. Schumann is currently the Medical Director for Diagnostic Oncology CRO, Inc., a position he has held since 2001. He is also currently the Laboratory Director for The Orion Laboratory and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut's School of Allied Health Professions. He is also the Owner and President of Schumann Diagnostics and Schumann Cytology Laboratories. Dr. Schumann has had papers published 86 times on a wide array of subjects, and has written seven textbooks. He has been a professor for thirty years. Dr. Schumann received his M.D. from John Hopkins School of Medicine, and his B.S. degree from The Hiram Scott College.
