See Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE). :DMM.A.) (TSE:DMM.B.) announced today that it plans to change its fiscal year end to May 31 from January 31, effective in 2001. The move is expected to yield some administrative cost savings and improved reporting efficiencies. As a result of this change the Company is required to file both Interim Consolidated Financial Statements Consolidated Financial Statements The combined financial statements of a parent company and its subsidiaries. Notes: Because consolidated financial statements present an aggregated look at the financial position of a parent and its subsidiaries, they enable you to gauge for the 12 months ending January 31, 2001, and audited Consolidated Financial Statements for the 16 months ending May 31, 2001. The Company must issue its Audited Consolidated Financial Statements, Annual Information Form and Management's Discussion and Analysis Management's discussion and analysis (MD&A) A report from management to shareholders that accompanies the firm's financial statements in the annual report. It explains the period's financial results and enables management to discuss topics that may not be apparent in the financial for the 16 months ending May 31, 2001, by August 29, 2001. Separately, Dia Met also recently completed a normal course issuer bid under which the Company acquired 106,400 Class A shares and 327,880 Class B shares. These shares are in the process of being cancelled. Once this is completed, Dia Met will have approximately 8.9 million Class A shares and 21.8 million Class B shares outstanding.
