DiOP Awarded $2.78 Million US Air Force Contract for Production of Surveillance Systems.

SALEM, N.H.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 23, 2004

Diversified Optical Products, Inc. (DiOP), a leader in thermal imaging solutions, has been awarded a $2.78 million contract from the US Air Force (USAF) Electronic Systems Command for production, delivery and installation of infrared area surveillance systems.

The DiOP-developed systems will be used to enhance USAF base security and feature an integrated thermal imaging camera for long-range surveillance. Manufacture of the systems will be at DiOP's Salem, New Hampshire Salem is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 28,112 at the 2000 census. Salem is a marketing and distributing center, with several colleges, recreation attractions and a large shopping mall, the Mall at Rockingham Park.  facilities with deliveries beginning in the first quarter of 2004. Procurement will be via the Government Services Administration (GSA (1) (Global mobile Suppliers Association, Sawbridgeworth, U.K., www.gsacom.com) A membership organization of suppliers of GSM products and services.
