Di speech up for sale.

THE emotional speech made by Princess Diana's brother at her funeral is to be auctioned for charity.

Charles Spencer Charles Spencer may refer to: Nobility
  • Charles Spencer, 3rd Earl of Sunderland (1674–1722)
  • Charles Spencer, 3rd Duke of Marlborough (1706–1758)
  • Charles Spencer, 6th Earl Spencer (1857–1922)
, now Lord Althorp, has donated a silk-bound copy of his eulogy to help the homeless, drugs addicts and alcoholics.

In the charged speech delivered at Westminster Abbey Westminster Abbey, originally the abbey church of a Benedictine monastery (closed in 1539) in London. One of England's most important Gothic structures, it is also a national shrine. The first church on the site is believed to date from early in the 7th cent.  in 1997, he dubbed his sister 'the most hunted person Noun 1. hunted person - a person who is hunted
chased, pursued - a person who is being chased; "the film jumped back and forth from the pursuer to the pursued"

victim - an unfortunate person who suffers from some adverse circumstance
of the modern age' and 'the very essence of compassion'. He also took a swipe at the Royal Family for stripping Diana of her title.

Lord Althorp, who lives on the Northamptonshire estate where Diana is buried, donated the signed copy to raise money for CAN, a local charity.

It is hoped the speech, along with other lots including a signed England football shirt, will help raise pounds 10,000 for the charity.
