Dharma dharma (där`mə). In Hinduism, dharma is the doctrine of the religious and moral rights and duties of each individual; it generally refers to religious duty, but may also mean social order, right conduct, or simply virtue.  Systems, Inc., a developer and marketer of application integration technology designed for e-business (Electronic-BUSINESS) Doing business online. The term is often used synonymously with e-commerce, but e-business is more of an umbrella term for having a presence on the Web.  developers, announced today the release of eUnify(TM) 4.0, software designed to provide the bridge between e-business applications and existing business systems. Dharma's eUnify software technology enables e-business developers to take advantage of legacy applications without custom coding and provides a standard interface for any legacy system integration.

"IT professionals in Global 2000 and mid-size organizations have been very enthusiastic about Dharma eUnify because it dramatically reduces the time it takes to deliver effective and valuable e-business solutions," said J. Sasidhar, president of Dharma Systems. "By using Dharma eUnify, e-business developers can leverage their existing knowledge of application servers and other Web technologies and implement solutions very quickly without any custom coding or excessive training."

An important enhancement of the new Dharma eUnify Version 4.0 suite of products is the "Guaranteed Delivery" feature that allows for simplicity in providing distributed consistency. Within the eUnify environment, an e-business application can concurrently access multiple legacy systems. This can compromise transaction integrity because it requires that all back-end (programming) back-end - Any software performing either the final stage in a process, or a task not apparent to the user. A common usage is in a compiler. A compiler's back-end generates machine language and performs optimisations specific to the machine's architecture.  applications are either consistently committed or rolled back. The Guaranteed Delivery feature allows application developers to depend on eUnify to provide distributed consistency.

eUnify 4.0, as with previous versions, is composed of two main products:

--Dharma Integrator (1) In electronics, a device that combines an input with a variable, such as time, and provides an analog output; for example, a watt-hour meter.

(2) See systems integrator.
 - acts as the hub of eUnify and provides a common integration layer that enables e-business solutions to access a unified view of business rules and information from multiple legacy applications.

--Dharma AppLink - a variety of AppLink products that provide relational views of legacy applications that can be combined into a unified view with Dharma Integrator.

The new version of eUnify supports a number of back-end applications through AppLink for 3270 (mainframe), AppLink for 5250 (AS/400), AppLink for Siebel For the tech company, see .

Siebel, originally Flugzeugbau Halle, was a German aircraft manufacturer in Halle an der Saale.

Siebel aircraft included:
  • Siebel Fh 104 Hallore, medium transport
, AppLink for SAP and a new fifth AppLink, AppLink for JDEdwards. Dharma Integrator can now be used to create a unified view that provides seamless access to any and all of the relational views provided by the Dharma AppLink product family.

"In order for large companies to remain successful and competitive, it's absolutely necessary that they address their strategic application integration plan," said Sasidhar. "While many stylish Stylish is a free Mozilla extension that allows for the manipulation of web pages and XUL application user interfaces through the use of CSS or user styles available localy or from centralized web-site [1], which allows style sharing.  technologies exist for application integration, eUnify 4.0 can be implemented more quickly, easily and affordably than any comparable solution on the market today."
