Devoted Vale is top guide dog.


A NORTH Wales North Wales (known in some archaic texts as Northgalis) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales, bordered to the south by Mid Wales and to the east by England.  golden retriever won a top guide dog competition after helping his owner lead a more independent life.

Llandudno guide dog Vale was named Exceptional Work Guide Dog of the Year at the Kennel Club Kennel Club

Vale was chosen after demonstrating "outstanding loyalty and devotion" to owner Nicola Cockburn, 27, of Trinity Avenue, Llandudno.

Nicola, who has been blind from birth, recently graduated from Manchester University with a degree in contemporary arts and wants to be a journalist.

Last year, she managed to fit in a tour with a theatre company, primarily around Manchester and Glasgow where she had the lead role in Blindsight blind·sight

For each new town they visited, Vale had a new set of routes to learn.

Nicola said: "Vale is amazing, whenever we travel away from home she copes extremely well with any changes and is always willing to adapt to the new environment.
