Devine Entertainment Announces Broadcast Licenses and Co-Production Agreements for the New Writers' Specials Series.

TORONTO -- Devine Entertainment Corporation (CUB:DVNN, NASD OTC PK:DVNNF) today announced a broadcast commitment from TVOntario for production of six films for Devine Entertainment's signature series, The Writers' Specials, which focus on a child's eye view of landmark authors Mark Twain, Lewis Carroll, Alexandre Dumas, Moliere, Cervantes and Edgar Allan Poe. TVO's commitment includes broadcast licenses for 19 more films from Devine's Emmy award-winning library of films on the groundbreaking Artists, Inventors and Composers specials. TVO's commitment exceeds CDN$200,000 in new sales for the Company.

President and C.E.O. David Devine noted, "With TVOntario as our lead Canadian broadcast partner we are well on our way to financing this new series which is slated for production in 2005." Management expects that the TVO commitment will be complemented by additional commitments from broadcasters across Canada and other international broadcasters including a previously announced agreement with TPS Jeunesse in France.

The Company also announced that it has entered into a co-development agreement for The Writers' Specials with French Co-producer Istar and has new broadcast commitments from TPS Jeunesse and France 5. With its own Canadian-based financing and Istar's commitment to finance the French portion of the series as a Canada-France co-production, Devine now has the majority of the approximately CDN$9,000,000 of financing in place for The Writers' Specials.
