It is flanked by rugged mountains.  Eoe1/4" The 32nd annual meeting of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP ADFIAP Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (banking institutions) ) yesterday adopted the Eoe1/4Y[pounds sterling]Muscat DeclarationEoe1/4ao here in Muscat.

Eoe1/4EoADFIAP members, you have taken momentous decision to adopt the Muscat Declaration,Eoe1/4A[yen] the associationEoe1/4aos chairman Fuimaona Falefa Lima said.

The declaration said: Eoe1/4EoRecognising the pivotal role of development finance institutions (DFIs) as promoters of economic growth, especially as the current global crisis deepens and widens its scope, ADFIAP and its members will continue to come up with strategic responses and solutions that could help stimulate economies and hasten has·ten

Eoe1/4EoCommitting to its objective of being leading institutions in the sustainable development Sustainable development is a socio-ecological process characterized by the fulfilment of human needs while maintaining the quality of the natural environment indefinitely. The linkage between environment and development was globally recognized in 1980, when the International Union  space, especially in times of crises, ADFIAP and its members strive to continue to enhance their sustainable investment portfolio, as well as explore other related business opportunities, particularly to support the following sectors: micro, small and medium enterprises, agriculture, housing and infrastructure, water and sanitation, health, education, environment and climate change, appropriate technology, trade logistics, and others.Eoe1/4A[yen]

The declaration said, Eoe1/4EoMitigating the impact of the global crisis on their institutions as well as preparing beyond it, ADFIAP and its members aim to strengthen their operational efficiency in terms of risk management, loan restructuring and non-performing loans A non-performing loan is a loan that is in default or close to being in default. Many loans become non-performing after being in default for 3 months, but this can depend on the contract terms.  management, capital adequacy, liability management as well as training and retooling their human capital and making full use of appropriate and effective information technology.Eoe1/4A[yen]

Mission

Realising that its membersEoe1/4ao sustainability as development finance institutions is continuously challenged by the ever-changing dynamics of global as well as local developments, ADFIAP will be in constant search of fresh ideas, emerging trends and innovative solutions and to document, disseminate and share these issues to the general membership and its stakeholders Stakeholders

All parties that have an interest, financial or otherwise, in a firm-stockholders, creditors, bondholders, employees, customers, management, the community, and the government.

Exchanges

Organising and conducting best practice exchanges among members, undertaking research and publishing studies as well as working with same-purposed institutions are among the measures that can be adopted going forward, it added.

Experts from Canada, Japan, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, Sri Lanka Sri Lanka (srē läng`kə) [Sinhalese,=resplendent land], formerly Ceylon, ancient Taprobane, officially Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, island republic (2005 est. pop. , Fiji, Palau and Fuimaono Falefa Lima presented papers on the experiments of DFIs and development banks.
