Dr. Mel Levine Mel Levine (born June 7, 1943 in Los Angeles) is an American politician from California. He served in the United States House of Representatives from 1983 to 1993. He graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1960 and then was valedictorian at University of California, Berkeley.
