The Voice Road Plaza shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  in Carle Place, N.Y., has sold for $35.35 million to a New York-based real estate hedge fund hedge fund, in finance, a highly speculative, largely unregulated investment device. Originating in the 1950s, the funds "hedge" by offsetting "short" positions (borrowing a security and then selling it at a higher price before repaying the lender) against "long"  managed by Stillwater Capital, and its operating partners, Reuven Kahane & Ian Deutsch of Voice Road JV, LLC (Logical Link Control) See "LANs" under data link protocol.

. The seller of the property was Rochester, N.Y.-based First Allied Corporation, which was represented by Brown Harris Stevens.

The 130,000-square-foot Long Island shopping center is home to major tenants that include Big Lots, Staples, Bass Shoes and Party City. Voice Road Plaza is located two blocks from Roosevelt Field Mall Roosevelt Field Mall is the largest shopping mall in the state of New York and ninth in the country as measured by gross leaseable area at 2,189,941 sq ft. (203,452 m²). Located in East Garden City on Long Island, the anchors of the 270 store mall are: Bloomingdale's, JC Penney, , the fifth largest mall in the country.

Based in San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  and Oakland, Calif., Reuven Kahane and Ian Deutsch and affiliates have been involved in the purchase of over 20 West Coast grocery anchored centers and ethnic mails during the past 28 months.

"We have been so active acquiring primarily West Coast shopping centers that we feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful opportunity here on Long Island," says Deutsch, who is now based in N.Y.
