The dance "of celebration and sorrow," as he puts it, is set to original music by the Klezmatics' Frank London Frank London is a New York City-based trumpeter, bandleader, and composer, and one of the most prominent American musicians active in klezmer music. He also plays various other wind instruments and keyboards, and occasionally sings backup vocals. . "The stories, told mostly non-verbally, go way back, but we're here now inventing new rituals, new characters--which are, in an odd way, not completely us." Dorfman's new collaborative duet, approaching some calm, made with Lisa Race, is very much "them." It's their first duet in a decade, during which they married and had a son.
