Detroit Regional Chamber Mascot, Bizzy, to Make Debut at Small Business Conference, Nov. 10.


DETROIT -- The Detroit Regional Chamber has a new mascot MASCOT - Modular Approach to Software Construction Operation and Test: a method for software design aimed at real-time embedded systems from the Royal Signals and Research Establishment, UK.  that can help small business members make money, save money and grow. Standing eight feet tall, "Bizzy" will make its debut at the Detroit Regional Chamber Small Business Conference 2004, Nov. 10 at the Ford Conference and Event Center in Dearborn.

Bizzy will be passing out small business tips to conference attendees throughout the day.

Now in its second year, the Small Business Conference is the only one of its kind in the region. The conference offers keynote keynote /key·note/ (ke´not) in homeopathy, the characteristic property of a drug that indicates its use in treating a similar symptom of disease.  speakers and breakout sessions all designed for the small business owner or operator. More than 1,000 people will attend Wednesday's event. The event is sold out.

Small Business Central is a one-stop resource to help small businesses grow and succeed, which includes networking events, marketing opportunities, discounted products and services and advocacy efforts. Small Business Central can be accessed at www.detroitchamber.com.

The conference is 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., followed by a membership reception from 5 -7 p.m. Doors will open at 7 a.m. for continental breakfast and an opportunity to see the Paul W. Show on WJR WJR Woodcock Johnson-Revised  broadcasting live from the event.
