 World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets, today announced that GridWorld 2006 is scheduled to take place September 11-14, 2006 at the Washington Convention Center The Washington Convention Center has been the name of two convention centers in Washington, D.C. The old Washington Convention Center was located at 909 H Street NW and was in use from 1983 until 2004.  in Washington, DC.

This year's conference theme is "Achieving Agility, Efficiency and Innovation in the Enterprise." Calls for participation are currently being accepted, and the deadline for submissions is April 19th. Industry professionals are invited to submit abstracts on topics ranging from "the business case for grid" to "hard-core technical issues around grid deployment."

Since the focus of GridWorld 2006 is the end user, presentations coming from the customer's perspective explaining the business problem, the options evaluated, the decision-making process, the implementation challenges and the end result, will receive preference.
