Even though functionality has expanded to include over 45 parameters and over 15 Java methods, this latest version is 22% smaller for Internet Explorer Microsoft's Web browser, which comes with Windows starting with Windows 98. Commonly called "IE," versions for Mac and Unix are also available. Internet Explorer is the most widely used Web browser on the market. It has also been the browser engine in AOL's Internet access software.  users. A smaller file size means that Clipstream(TM) enabled pages will snap open significantly faster.

The latest applet features a new codec (1) (enCOder/DECoder) A hardware circuit that performs analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) and digital-to-analog (DAC) conversion. When analog signals are entered into a computer, cellphone or other device via a microphone or video source such as VHS tape or analog TV,  that greatly improves image quality, while encoding creates videos with a higher, more consistent frame rate. New features that maximize flexibility and control for web authors include zoom, video playlists and scheduling to simulate live real time streaming.

The new encoder is smarter, helping the novice web video author "click and go" by automatically monitoring settings to produce the best quality. For more advanced users, intuitive checkboxes have been added so that the quality can be optimized for the source file format type. In a high volume environment, new batch encoding settings automate video creation and improve workflow.

Clipstream(TM) is a Java based playerless streaming video A one-way video transmission over a data network. It is widely used on the Web as well as company networks to play video clips and video broadcasts. Computers in home networks stream video to digital media hubs connected to a home theater.  technology which reaches 98% of web users natively, without requiring the download of a third party player. Because it is based on the HTTP standard, the content passes through most firewalls and proxies. Since Clipstream(TM) content caches, web site owners can save up to 90% on bandwidth costs while providing a much higher quality of service for end users. Clipstream(TM) works on a variety of operating systems including most versions of Windows, Mac, Solaris, Linux and on many Java powered devices. Because the Java applet resides on the server and not on the user's desktop, the latest version of Clipstream(TM) can always be maintained without impacting audience reach.

Recognised as the leader in playerless streaming, Clipstream(TM) is the logical choice for content owners that want to reach the most people at the lowest cost.
