London Gatwick Express

Bikes, that is pedal bicycles, seem to be in the news after Atlantic Express said that they would offer free transportation for the folding variety on its twice daily Stansted - Jersey service (understood to have been well received). The Gatwick Express has come back with a reminder that the railway from Victoria is not fussy what sort of bike you use. Andrew Conroy, head of customer services comments," Unlike many of our competitors we transport cycles of all types at all times. Over the years we have welcomed a variety of cycles including choppers, BMXs, mountain bikes, road racing bikes and even vintage bikes for the London to Brighton Bike Ride. Whether our passengers are traveling from central London to Sussex for the countryside or from the Crawley area to cycle around London they can rest assured that Gatwick Express will never fold on this issue." Emmerson Roberts, sakes manager of Brompton Bicycle recently took one of their models on a recent trip to the Channel Islands. http://www.gatwickexpress.com Jun 17, 2006
