Majestic America Line Lets Kids Cruise Free. Majestic America Line is allowing children 12 years of age or under cruise free when traveling as the third or fourth passenger, sharing a stateroom with two paying adults. The promotion is good on Empress of the North The Empress of the North is a 360 foot (110 m) diesel-powered paddlewheeler operated by Majestic America Line. , Queen of the West or American Queen in 2008. Cruise rates are waived for children when they share a stateroom with adults outfitted for three or four guests, but port charges, handling fees and fuel surcharge apply for each child. The offer is not combinable with other offers. Space is limited. Empress of the North visits Alaska from May through mid-September, including Juneau and nearby Mendenhall Glacier, Sitka, Skagway and Petersburg. Seabourn Cruise Lines

Seabourn Opens Bookings on 2010 World Cruise. Reservations are now available for all of Seabourn Cruise Line's 2009 itineraries and the 2010 world cruise aboard Seabourn Odyssey, which will join the Seabourn fleet in spring 2009. The 450-passenger Seabourn Odyssey will be the line's first new ship in six years. The ship's 108-day world cruise in 2010 embarks in Fort Lauderdale on January 5 and ends in Athens on April 24, after covering five continents. Luxury and length, though, come with a steep price tag. Fares begin at $53,745, while a Grand Suite will cost $254,745. Silversea Cruises is offering a collection of 13 Elegant Explorations for 2009, aimed at giving guests the opportunity to see the world at a "slower pace." The cruises last between 24 and 92 days and include the line's first-ever, 92-day Grand Pacific cruise (departing March 7, 2009, on Silver Shadow), which will visit a combined 45 ports in 15 countries.
