People in forestry-related disciplines and others interested in forests can exchange views with professional counterparts in South Africa South Africa, Afrikaans Suid-Afrika, officially Republic of South Africa, republic (2005 est. pop. 44,344,000), 471,442 sq mi (1,221,037 sq km), S Africa.  this fall. AMERICAN FORESTS American Forests is a nonprofit conservation organization that promotes healthy forests and urban tree planting.

The organization was established in 1875 as the American Forestry Association, by physician/horticulturist John Aston Warder and a group of like-minded citizens
 is teaming up with People to People Ambassador Programs to develop and lead annual forestry delegations to key areas around the world, and the two organizations are coordinating a delegation to South Africa, traveling from November November: see month.  8 through 20.
