Designer dads in waiting; Four colleagues to be fathers at firm.

THERE are a lot of sleepless nights ahead for staff at a Huddersfield company Four of the 26 male staff at the Old Leeds Road design company Code Blue Group are expectant fathers.

The news follows our story earlier this month of a baby boom at a Huddersfield hotel.

Four women at the Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top, announced they were expecting.

And a fifth colleague has just celebrated the arrival of her baby son.

Code Blue director Tony Kenny is one of the men looking forward to a new arrival.

He said: "I'm really excited.

There will be a lot of sleepless nights but I'm sure it will be worth it."

Tony isn't sure why so many staff are expecting babies at the same time.

He said: "We had a new water cooler installed - I wonder if that's what caused it!

"I don't know why so many of our staff are expecting children but we're a fairly young company and I suppose we're getting to the age when people have kids."

Tony, 34, and his wife Hazel, 32, who live in Halifax, are expecting their first child on November 19.

Sales manager Baljit Singh, 35, and his partner Sukhvinder Kaur, 34, who live in Lindley, are looking forward to their second child in January.

April 14 is the big day for sales executive Scott Rice, 31 and his partner Joanne McGee, 28. It will be the second child for the Halifax couple.

Sales manager Chris O'Brien, 34, and his partner Melissa Burgess, 28, who live in Honley, are expecting their first child on April 11.

Code Blue Group was set up seven years ago and now employs 36 staff at the Old Church on Old Leeds Road.
