) today announced financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended Sept. 30, 1996.

 for the third quarter rose 53.7% to $136.9 million, from $89.0 million in the third quarter of 1995. Pro forma net income increased 93.9% to $11.3 million, or $0.35 per share, compared to $5.8 million, or $0.18 per share.

For the nine months ended Sept. 30, 1996, pro forma net sales reached $356.5 million, a 68.5% increase versus $211.5 million in the comparable period last year. Pro forma net income increased 100.3% to $24.7 million, or $0.76 per share, compared to $12.3 million, or $0.38 per share in the first nine months of 1995.
