Design firm to provide 'Capital Asset Management.' (Parsons Brinckerhoff Inc. offers new services) (Property Management/Improvement; Section II)


Parsons Brinckerhoff Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB) is a planning, engineering, program and construction management organization. The company has been involved in planning and designing some of the world's largest public works projects, such as Boston's Big Dig, Britain's rail system Network Rail; , a 100-year old international design, planning, and facilities firm, has announced a firmwide initiative to provide Capital Asset Management (CAM) services.

These services are targeted to owners and operators in the public and private sectors, including industrial organizations, institutions and corporations.

Spearheaded by Ray Monti, senior vice president, the expanded Capital Assets capital assets n. equipment, property, and funds owned by a business. (See: capital, capital account)  Management services will be integrated with the firm's Condition Assessment Survey (CAS) services. One of PB's companies, Parsons Brinckerhoff Facilities services, and some regional offices, have been providing CAS services since 1985.

Capital Asset Management is a comprehensive approach to facilities planning, whether the facility is a corporate office building, bridge, park, military base, transit property or an entire inventory of city-owned properties. This approach begins with an engineering assessment of the condition of capital assets using a systematic, uniform, preprogrammed evaluation tool tailored to a specific facility. It includes cost estimates for the repair or replacement of deficiencies and recommended priorities for renewal, modernization modernization
